Rwanda mobile penetration up to 47.5%

By BiztechAfrica - Sept. 29, 2012, 7:56 a.m.The Rwandan Utilities Regulatory Agency (RURA) says mobile penetration has increased to 47.5% in the country.
RURA’s latest statistics indicate that by the end of August this year, Rwanda had 5.09 million mobile subscribers.
MTN Rwanda has the market lead, with 3.188 million subscribers, followed by Tigo Rwanda, with 1.732 million. Airtel Rwanda has 168,832 in total. All of the operators are showing growth.
