Orange Botswana unveils SmartStore

Orange Botswana has unveiled a state of the art SmartStore in what is likely to be a first for Botswana and the sub-region at large, according to Buyile Makgekgenene, Orange Shop Channel Manager.
The Orange SmartStore that was unveiled at the upmarket Airport Junction mall has all the hallmarks of a futuristic interactive shop for the modern and discerning Smartphone-bound shopper. ‘’The new shop is a special purpose store for consumers, which by virtue of digital platform, enhances the customer experience through interactive means. Indeed it creates a truly unique and exceptional digital experience. Customers can enjoy learning more about the brand, its offerings and how Orange Botswana is working to add value to what matters most to its customers,”’ said a launch day statement from Orange.
The new Orange Botswana SmartStore has been designed with a lot of innovation in mind. The visibly elated Makgekgenene said they have been inspired by revolution; ”All we want is to be the first, ‘’ she explained to biztechafrica. ‘’The first innovation to be at the best mall, Airport Junction mall lends itself to this change,’’ she added.
The SmartStore comes with its own bouquet of services which include but are actually not limited to Full access to high speed WIFI in the store, Access to a selection of Orange products to explore within various sections or ‘’essentials’’ which according to information here includes the ‘’fun’’ life essential has a section boasting products such as state of the art headsets, while a ‘’home’’, customer can experience DStv offering. This also includes Tablets and Smartphones that will be on display for customers to interact with; customers will also have the opportunity to learn more about some of the latest Orange promotions; and this is where adverts, promotional videos and new product videos will be shown, giving customers information about all that Orange has to offer whilst they await assistance from a store representative.
The new innovative store was officially launched by Orange Botswana Board Chairman, Satar Dada, and Orange MEA Chairman and Group Deputy CEO, Bruno Mettling, before key dignitaries and media.
Speaking at the official launch this afternoon Orange Botswana CEO Dr Patrick Benon said that the Smart Store through its offering has been strategically positioned to meet customers’ diverse needs. ‘We have listened to what our customers need, and what matters to them most and strive for continued excellence in responding to these needs. This is because for us customer experience is paramount and our aim is to add value to the lives of our customers by creatively connecting them at all times be it at home or work. This is the Orange experience, and this is what the new Smart Store brings to life in an exciting new manner,” he said.
The Smart Store will observe standard business operating hours and offer the full suite of service offerings for the Orange customer.
