Online articles get journo arrested

By BiztechAfrica - Oct. 15, 2012, 3:33 p.m.Malawian journalist Justice Mponda is reported to have been arrested for insulting the President online.
Mponda, a journalist from the Malawi Voice, was arrested early today. He has been charged with insulting the president, false publications and criminal libel.
The Chairperson of the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA), Anthony Kasunda said the charges related to articles making allegations about President Joyce Banda resigning, and about a border dispute between Malawi and Tanzania.
