Nokia Siemens Networks sees shared infrastructure management as a growth point in Kenya.

The company’s Africa head, Dimitri Diliani, says Kenya’s telecoms sector has seen remarkable growth and is taking a position as a testing ground for services and offerings in this sector.

In the recent Connectivity Scorecard 2011 commissioned by  Nokia Siemens Networks, it was noted that while Kenya's consumer and business usage and skills remains robust, there remains great potential for expansion and liberalisation of the sector.

Diliani said managed services was one major telecoms growth area, presenting his company with significant opportunities.

Operators were seeking to cut operating costs, he noted, and managed services was one way to do so.
