Nigeria nears 77% teledensity

By BiztechAfrica - Nov. 8, 2012, 8:41 p.m.Nigerian telecoms subscriber numbers have passed 107 million, taking the country’s teledensity to near 77%.
According to the latest statistics from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the country had 107,367,095 telecoms subscribers at the end of September this year. This is up from 105,239,815 at the end of August this year, and gives Nigeria a teledensity of 76.69%.
The figures showed over 103 million active GSM lines, over 3.2 million CDMA lines and 474,345 fixed wired/wireless lines.
