MTN has slashed its data prices by half, both for pre-paid and top-up users.
The company says the move comes as it seeks growth – especially in rural areas.
MTN’s 250Mb package has been cut from Rwf6,000 to Rwf3,000. The 5Gb bundle has been reduced from Rwf30,000 to Rwf15,000 and the price on the 500Mb package has dropped from Rwf10,000 to Rwf5,000.
Larger bundles have also been introduced, up to 20GB, priced at Rwf43,000.
