MTN helps Rwanda genocide orphans

By BiztechAfrica - May 8, 2012, 9:44 a.m.MTN Rwanda is looking to employ a number of orphans in its call centres as part of a ‘one agent, one orphan’ initiative.
As part of its social investment initiatives, MTN has supported the Nyenyeri Orphanage, home to many children who lost their parents in the genocide in Rwanda.
MTN staff members offered to adopt some of the orphans, and MTN is looking to employ suitable orphaned graduates in its call centre.
MTN’s Senior Manager in Charge of Customer Operations, Norman Munyampundu, said the MTN Call Centre initiative would include scholarships and sustainable support in future.
