Mozambique opens prepaid electrical meter factory

A factory to manufacture prepaid electricity meters has been opened in Maputo.
The new enterprise, belonging to the South Electro Company, was opened at a cost of USD200,000 and employs 50 people.
The factory is expected to produce around 150,000 units a year.
The meters will be distributed nationally.
