M-PESA services suffer outage

Safaricom has restored its M-PESA service following an outage yesterday.

The outage prevented  M-PESA customers from sending money, depositing and withdrawals, ATM withdrawals, buying airtime, bank to M-PESA, pay bill and buy goods or conducting  web transactions. 

Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore said:“I thank all our customers for their patience during the time of the outage and assure them all their funds remain safe.”
