Low-cost SA tablet makes inroads

The SA-born Netsurfer Touch tablet is sold through Pep Stores in SA, Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana and Namibia for around USD300, including a cover, earphones and starter pack.
The dual core device features a 7 inch touch screen, 3G, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, Android operating system, HD video output, 8GB built-in storage and a 1.3MP camera.
Produced by Future Mobile Technologies, the Netsurfer Touch has ambitions to become the fastest-selling tablet in the region.
