Intel names new MENA GM

By BiztechAfrica - Aug. 7, 2012, 1:16 p.m.Intel Corporation has announced the promotion of Taha Khalifa to the role of regional general manager of Intel in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Based in Dubai, Khalifa will be responsible for managing six Intel offices across Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
“Providing technology access and ICT skills is a cornerstone to economic growth in today's competitive global marketplace. The Mena region is home to a young, vibrant and cosmopolitan population with high expectations of computing devices and constant connectivity, and we are committed to helping our nations equip their citizens with the right ICT skills in order to realise full potential in today's knowledge economy,” said Khalifa.
Khalifa has worked for Intel for over 17 years and was most recently Intel Egypt country manager.
