ICTs to improve Malawi post

By BiztechAfrica - Oct. 8, 2012, 8:27 a.m.Malawi’s posts and telecoms regulator, MACRA, says it is implementing an ICT-based Global Monitoring System (GMS) to measure the quality of the postal services.
MACRA is currently attending the 25th Universal Postal Union conference at Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha, Qatar. Malawi is one of the 192 country members of the Universal Postal Union.
The conference, themed ‘New World, New Strategy,’ aims at placing the Postal Sector at the heart of global economy.
MACRA says that in Malawi, plans are underway to roll out physical addresses and postcodes, as well as to implement the GMS to measure quality of service.
