Huawei in Ethiopian mobile broadband roadshow

By BiztechAfrica - March 5, 2012, 10:18 a.m.China’s Huawei has staged a mobile broadband roadshow to showcase its solutions across Ethiopia.
In a five-day roadshow held last week, Huawei signed partnership agreements across the country and highlighted its mobile broadband solutions including its LTE technologies, smart terminals and managed services, in a high-tech truck equipped with the latest solutions.
The show was launched in the presence of senior Ethiopian government officials, and Chinese diplomats..
Huawei reiterated its commitment to growing with Ethiopia and noted that it had established offices and training facilities in Africa in line with this.
Peter Gatkuoth Gey, Ethiopia’s Minister of Communication and Information Technology, said the government welcomed the Huawei Global and African MBB road show in the hopes that it would contribute to the knowledge transfer process.
