Great Lakes leaders meet in Uganda

By BiztechAfrica - Sept. 9, 2012, 7:04 a.m.The Heads of State for the Great Lakes region have met in Uganda for talks on stability in the region.
South Sudanese president Salva Kiir, Mwai Kibaki (Kenya), Pierre Nkurunziza (Burundi), Joseph Kabila (DRC), François Bozizé (Central African Republic) and Paul Kagame (Rwanda) attended the summit.
In a message delivered by Abou Moussa, Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Regional Office for Central Africa (UNOCA), the UN expressed concern about developments in the DRC and expressed the hope that the leaders would find resolutions to the situation.
