Ghana signs biggest loan agreement yet

By BiztechAfrica - April 17, 2012, 10:22 a.m.In its biggest loan agreement yet, Ghana is signing a USD3 billion loan agreement with the China Development Bank.
The initial loan agreement, for USD1 billion, was signed in Beijing, China, and will cover natural gas and ICT development projects.
An agreement on the remainder of the loan will be signed later this month.
Ghana Vice President John Dramani Mahama says the developments as a result of the loan will allow for the creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs.
“This allows us to move Ghana’s transformation to the next level,” he said.
