Ghana ICT training gets a boost
India will invest a further USD860 000 into Ghana’ s Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT.
Indian High Commissioner Ruchi Ghanashyam announced this in Accra, where she signed an MoU with the Ghana government, in terms of which India undertakes to support ICT development with the investment.
The donation will expand the work of the Ghana-India Kofi Annan ICT Centre for Excellence (GIKAICE) in the city.
The centre, established in 2003, aims to grow the country’ s ICT skills base. It is also the home of West Africa’ s first supercomputer.
