Ghana govt helps film, TV institute go digital

Ghana’s government will give the National Film and TV Institute support to enable it to restructure and go digital.
Speaking in Accra at a NAFTI graduation ceremony, Fritz Baffour, Minister of Information, said the government would ensure the necessary credit facilities for NAFTI to modernise its operations and further develop the country’s creative industry.
NAFTI Rector Professor Linus Abraham expressed concern that in an environment of rapid digitisation of media technologies, the institute’s studio facilities are still in the analogue age.
He said the institute sometimes had to borrow equipment in order to train students.
