Ghana education minister resigns

By BiztechAfrica - Jan. 25, 2012, noonOnly days after promising to revolutionise Ghana’s education system, the Education Minister has resigned.
Minister Betty Mould-Iddrisu has tendered her resignation, reportedly over issues surrounding the payment debt of GH¢ 58 million to businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
President John Evans Atta Mills has accepted the resignation.
Enoch Teye Mensah, Minister of Employment and Social Welfare, will oversee the Education Ministry until further notice.
At the weekend, Mould-Iddrisu reiterated her commitment to modernizing the country’s education infrastructure in line with Millennium development Goals.
