Equatorial Guinean footballer Rodolfo Bodipo’s satellite internet firm, Bodipo Telecom, is reported to be showing strong growth across Africa.
Bodipo Telecom, formed in 2009, has a presence across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and is reported to be realising 25% growth per annum.
The firm is based in Spain, where Bodipo still plays league football. Bodipo Telecom offers full satellite coverage over Africa, providing standard internet services for all type of companies and internet trunking capacity for local ISPs.
The services are in use for advanced telemedicine, videoconferncing, government connectivity and encrypted connectivity for banks.
Spokesman Adrián García says: “To summarise, Bodipo Telecom bring the best of new technologies to be reached by any company in Africa.”
García says of Bodipo: “He has always been a lover of new technologies, probably resulting of his father being specialist of aeronautical systems. During his frequent journeys to Africa, mainly when required to play with his National Team, he could become aware of the general lack of quality connectivity in Africa. So, he decided to make an important investment to take Internet access to every corner in Africa, just as the Group has been doing worldwide.”
