Etisalat targets 20m users

By BiztechAfrica - Aug. 19, 2012, 8:11 a.m.Etisalat is aiming to grow its Nigerian subscriber base by 45% by the end of next year.
The telco, currently the smallest operator in Nigeria, says it aims to grow from 13.8 million subscribers to 20 million.
Etisalat says it is focusing on growth in demand for data, and investing heavily in infrastructure upgrades.
CEO Steven Evans says the company will spend up to USD500 million a year on infrastructure upgrades and expansion over the next two years.
