Egypt, Estonia, discuss cyber-security cooperation

By BiztechAfrica - Feb. 15, 2013, 10:12 a.m.Egypt’s ICT Minister has held talks with the Estonian Ambassador on cooperation between their countries on cyber-security issues.
Egypt’s ICT Minister, Atef Helmy, has met the Estonian Ambassador to Egypt, Paul Teesalu, for talks on cooperation and expertise exchange between the two countries in many ICT related fields, notably cyber-security.
They reviewed different cooperation frameworks in securing cyberspace, noting that the State of Estonia has considerable experience in this area, and hosts the NATO's Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence headquarters.
Also under discussion was the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), between Egypt's MCIT and the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, to develop a road map for operational frameworks for an Egyptian digital identity initiative.
