By BiztechAfrica - Jan. 25, 2012, 5:10 p.m.Speculation is mounting in Zimbabwe that Econet is preparing to launch a mobile VoIP service.
While Econet Broadband already offers Voice over Internet Protocol packaged for landlines, it is rumoured that the company will extend this option to mobile at a launch tomorrow.
Mobile VoIP is seen as a more cost-effective way to make mobile calls, particularly long distance calls, as the calls are priced at local internet data rates.
