Cashless policy drives Visa card uptake

By BiztechAfrica - May 28, 2012, 11:48 a.m.Nigeria’s cashless policy is helping drive strong growth of Visa cards in Nigeria.
Visa sub-Saharan Africa Director Ade Ashaye says transaction volumes using Visa cards have increased by 70% in the past year.
He says not only is card use increasing, but the number of vendors making provision for card payments is increasing to meet demand.
He says Visa is also growing its mobile money services in Nigeria.
