Cameroon raises QoS issues
GOVERNMENT
By BiztechAfrica - May 29, 2012, 3:23 p.m.Cameroon's telecoms regulator, Agence de Regulation des Telecommunications (ART), has criticized MTN and Orange for quality of service issues.
The regulator closely monitors quality of service in the country, and last year imposed sanctions against six local operators. In 2010, 20 companies operating in the telecoms space were fined.
In a report this week, ART said despite the fact that MTN and Orange had undertaken last year to improve service quality, the regulator was still receiving complaints aboutpoor coverage and dropped calls.
