Cameroon to connect to Main One

By BiztechAfrica - Aug. 22, 2012, 9:04 a.m.The Main One Cable Company will establish a landing station in Cameroon, in line with a MoU signed this month.
Cameroon’s Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Jean-Pierre Biyiti bi Essam, signed the memorandum of understanding with Main One CEO Funke Opeke.
The connection will be Cameroon’s third undersea cable link. The country is also connected to SAT3 and the WACS cable.
The Ministry says it expects the implementation of the agreement to result in improved access and reduced costs for consumers.
