By BiztechAfrica - April 13, 2012, 1:18 p.m.The Association of Telecom Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) has called for stricter sanctions against operators over poor quality of service.
ATCON President Titi Omo-Ettu suggested that the sanctions should take the form of payment to consumers if a network consistently performed below standard.
He said: “There cannot be justification for intolerable poor quality, which has plagued the Nigerian network.”
He blamed the poor quality of service in part on erratic power supplies around the country.
