Angola-Brazil cable project launched

By BiztechAfrica - Jan. 7, 2013, 9:07 a.m.A submarine cable project between Brazil and Angola has been officially launched and is expected to be live by the end of next year.
The submarine cable project-connecting Angola and Brazil (SACS) and the African Telecommunications Hub (Angonap) was launched in Luanda by the minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, José Carvalho da Rocha.
Angonap represents the central point of the network Angola Cables, in which national operators can access international calls.
The cable will link Brazil and Luanda, and will transmit data between Latin America, Africa and Asia.
