AfDB to open Liberia office

By BiztechAfrica - Sept. 16, 2012, 10:10 a.m.African Development Bank President Donald Kabureka will inaugurate a new AfDB office in Liberia during his official tour of West Africa this week.
The AfDB President is on a tour of four West African countries – Senegal, Cape Verde, Guinea and Liberia.
He has held talks with government leaders and the bank’s technical and financial partners, as well as visiting key infrastructure projects.
He willend his tour of West Africa in Liberia on September 18. The AfDB President will be received by Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, and will hold discussions with the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of Finance and AfDB Governor, Amara M. Konneh.
While visiting the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Kaberuka will attend presentations on issues such as results in public finance management. He will also visit the country’s Senate.
On the occasion of his visit, Dr. Kaberuka will also inaugurate the Liberia office of the African Development Bank Group.
