By BiztechAfrica - Aug. 11, 2012, 10:02 a.m.AccessKenya has reported a 10.4% increase in total revenues for the first half of the year.
In its H1 report, the group said its profit had increased by 10.5% to pass KES 68 million, from 62 million the previous year. AccessKenya said half year revenues had grown consistently, despite the erosion of ARPU.
It said the increase in the number of leased lines more than offset the adverse effect of the ARPU decline.
The company noted that it had passed the 5,000 corporate leased line mark in Q2, with 5,100 leased lines now in place. It said continued high demand for data services was expected to drive ongoing revenue growth.
