With stiff competition eating into its profitability, technology solutions company Access Kenya, has shifted to teleconferencing to grow its market share.
The company, together with communications collaboration solutions provider Polycom (through its certified reseller in East Africa - Sight & Sound Ltd), will officially launch the telepresence solution on Wednesday.
AccessKenya notes that the telepresence solution is a set of technologies that allows a person to feel as if they were present in a meeting room when conducting a virtual meeting via video conferencing. It gives the appearance of presence hence creating a more ‘real’ experience for users.
Kenya’s mobile operators have been making headway into internet connectivity services provision, piling pressure on traditional providers like AccessKenya to diversify their services.
