Access Bank reports integration complete

By BiztechAfrica - March 11, 2012, 8:10 a.m.Nigeria’s Access Bank says its resources and systems integration with Intercontinental Bank is now complete.
Access Bank completed its acquisition of Intercontinental Bank in January this year.
Access Bank Group MD/CEO Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede said the combined banks’ 5.7 million customers would benefit from an expanded network of 309 branches and a network of 1600 ATMs across Nigeria, as well as world class contact centre, SMS and online banking services.
The bank said it was working closely with Accenture to determine the optimal level of resources needed to support the combined entities, and had worked swiftly to integrate the two, eliminating duplication in systems and resources.
