Currently, there are over 2, 039, 000 facebook users in Kenya, which makes it number 64 in the ranking of all facebook statistics by country, according to socialbakers' new report.
Socialbakers is a company offering monitoring and tracking tools for analysis of social networks that are used for comparing social media statistics and metrics.
According to the statistics, Safaricom Kenya's official page leads in the number of facebook fans among brands at 215,021 followed by Midcom East Africa at 102, 182, Samsung Mobile Kenya at 89,084, OLX Kenya (55699) and Sony Mobile at 53, 624.
Other brands with over 30,000 fans on facebook include: Nokia East Africa, Pigiame, Orange Kenya, Travel in Kenya, and Dettol Kenya.
Among the media brands though, Nation Media Group’s NTV Kenya leads at 377, 966, followed by Daily Nation at 297, 440. Royal Media Services TV Station, Citizen TV follows with 284, 683 fans and Standard Group’s flagship station, KTN Kenya follows with 273, 776, Easy FM (NMG radio station) (273, 712), The insider Magazine (153, 161) and Capital FM (151, 617).
